Emergency Dental Treatment
Dr. Paul Caputo understands dental emergencies are unavoidable and immediate emergency dental care is often the only response that will ease a person’s pain and suffering. Dr. Caputo and his staff treat dental emergencies with a specific protocol designed to provide the patient immediate relief. No additional fees are assessed in the event of emergency care, only standard fees apply.
Dr. Caputo provides emergency dental care to both new and existing patients.

Emergency Care Protocol
Dr. Caputo’s approach to caring for patient’s experiencing a dental emergency is based on three principles.
- Rapid diagnosis and patient consultation.
- Provide immediate pain relief.
- When conditions and circumstances permit, immediately treat the underlying condition to prevent a reoccurrence of the patient’s symptoms and discomfort.
Dr. Caputo’s practice of Comprehensive Dentistry, advanced training in and the practice of many specialized areas of care, enables him to thoroughly treat most dental emergencies without referring the patient to a specialist. Dr. Caputo areas of special interest and advanced training include restorative dentistry and implant dentistry. Dr Caputo also offers his patient the choice of three forms of sedation dentistry.
In order to provide patient’s the most advanced, non-invasive diagnostic procedures appropriate to a given circumstance, Dr. Caputo’s office hosts three forms of radiography, including i-CAT, open CT scans.
Dr. Caputo’s practice includes on-site, state-of-the-art i-CAT, open CT scanning and 3-D software to diagnose complex situations and plan advanced forms of treatment. I-CAT dental CT scanning is performed while the patient sits in an open-air chair. The I-CAT Cone Beam imaging system scans your head and jaw creating detailed 3-D imagery of the head, joints and airways which can be viewed from any angle or as cross-sections.

If an emergency occurs outside normal office hours and you believe you require immediate, urgent care, call 727-448-2020 you will automatically be routed to a 24 hour referral service of which Dr. Caputo is a member.
