After Bonding

Although only one tooth was fixed in my Palm Harbor dentist office, the change in the smile is very apparent.

Practicing dentistry in the Tampa FL area for 24+ years has given me a relatively long term perspective on economic cycles.  I believe this will be a long correction, but life goes on.  I hopefully will be a dentist in Palm Harbor FL for many years.  Dentistry is a business, it is health care, but fortunately dentistry is not socialized like medicine is.  Dentistry / Tampa dentists need to adapt to a changing economic environment.

Fee’s for services such as dental sedation, crowns & root canals should be based on cost plus a reasonable profit.  Fee’s for dental cleanings are too low in my opinion.

Before Bonding

Unlimited discretionary funds are a rarity these day, Tampa dentist patients still do not want to have broken or painful teeth.  Tooth extraction has been the option of choice for many people in my Palm Harbor dentist office.  Few people are willing to smile with a missing/broken front tooth if there are other affordable options.

Tooth #9 in this picture has been bonded/filled multiple times in the past and is now chipped again.  Ideal dental treatment is to crown multiple front teeth, giving a beautiful smile.  Due to financial limitations, ideal dentistry is not possible for this Tampa dentist patient.

For a very modest cost (relative to 4 crowns), chair-side bonding can be done.   Tooth # 9 is seen before bonding in my Palm Harbor Dentist office in this picture.
