I was born in the Bronx on March 11, 1960. At the age of two my pregnant mom, dad and little sister moved out to Atlantic Beach. Atlantic Beach is one of three towns on a narrow long island off the southwestern part of Long Island, NY.
My siblings and I did not have any first cousins as neither my mom or dad had living siblings. We called my maternal grandmother’s (Filomena’s) brothers our uncles. My dad, Luciano Vincenzo Don Giovanni Batista Caputo, took this picture of us outside of “uncle Bernies” house in Lake Carmel, NY., those were fun trips.
