This picture demonstrates the esthetic / cosmetic differences of traditional partial dentures and precision partial dentures.  While both are removable, precision attachments allow the precision partial to seemlessly connect to a dental bridge without the unsightly metal clasps seen no the upper and lower back region of this picture.

Many advancements have taken place in dentistry, the types of precision attachments have increased and evolved but the concept has been around for decades.  The use of precision attachments can be used in conjunction with or as an alternative to the use of dental implants.
